SCF Volleyball 2011

The State College of Florida (Manatee-Sarasota) is organizing a number of events that will hopefully not only benefit high school and club volleyball players but also the community in general.

Below is as summary of some of the events SCF has planned this fall.  Download 2011 Schedule

Wednesday August 31^st: (Trinity Christian College)

Home opener and High School Volleyball Appreciation night.  All High School players, coaches and their parents will be admitted FREE.  Schools will be recognized between games.  Players will be able to participate in a serving contest between games 2 and 3 where they can win prizes.  We will have a professional DJ doing the announcing and music.  Players are encouraged to wear their high school volleyball t-shirts or jerseys.  It would be preferred if coaches could confirm their team’s attendance by emailing or calling Coach Sylvie Garofalo at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. September 15:

Middle School Night and SCF Collegiate cook out night(South Florida Community College)

September 23 & 24:

SCF Invitational and Snooty Fundraiser: This will be our first of two Home Tournaments.  Fourth Ranked Iowa Western will be one of the teams participating in the event.

This will also beVolleyball Club Recognition Day and our Snooty Fundraiser.  We will have information on our famous local Manatee and proceeds of the event will go to help Snooty and the other Manatees at the Museum.

September 29:

Girls & Boys Club night (Polk State College)

October 6^th:

Sophomore night  (St. Petersburg College)

October 7 & 8:

SCF/MDC Tournament and Volleyball Clubs Appreciation: This will be our second Home Tournament with 5 Nationally Ranked teams participating, including Miami Dade, Florida State College Jacksonville, HCC, College of Central Florida and West Plains Missouri.   This will also be our Volleyball Clubs Appreciation event.
