Suncoast goes to the Beach!

As many of you have heard, Beach Volleyball has become an NCAA sport!  This will open up more scholarship and more athletic opportunities for our girls. 

This summer, in an attempt to better serve our club and our community, we will be offering Beach Volleyball lessons.   The schedule is listed below along with the Beach Tournament Schedule.    

Cost for the first session is $125.  In addition, if athletes would like to enter the Clearwater Beach tournament, they may do so.  Tournament entry fees are usually $70 per team ($35 each).  Athletes will be responsible for making the tournament registration fees.

Format for the practice session will be 60-70 minutes of instruction followed by game play.  Ultimately, the goal of the program is to:

1)       Introduce the girls to the game of beach volleyball

2)      Provide athletes with quality instruction and repetitions that will help to improve their game.

3)      Allow the girls to have fun

4)      Allow the girls to be responsible for their own success

5)      Provide great cross training for indoor volleyball

Jeff, Guy, and Julio are all now certified to coach Beach Volleyball and will be leading the program.

Space will be limited to 6 athletes per coach!  Grab a partner and come join us.  No partner, no problem we will try to help you find one!

If there is interest, we will hold a second session in July, with the concluding event being the Siesta Key Tournament on July 12.   If interested in session 2, let me know.
