Sarasota Volleyball Academy
Suncoast Volleyball Club
This year’s try-outs will take place November 8th for the youth group and November 22 for the high school group at ODA
Our National and Regional teams travel to Orlando, Clearwater, Tampa, and may travel outside the state for National Qualifying Events. In addition, teams may participate in local tournament in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice. This year, Suncoast will also offer Local teams that will play in local AAU Tournaments and 2-day Tournaments in the Tampa/ Clearwater Area. These programs are less expensive and require less travel. The Suncoast Volleyball Coaching staff consists of high school coaches, middle school coaches, teachers, and adult past players. All coaches’ are USAV Impact Certified and most have completed the USA Volleyball Coaches Accreditation Program. In addition, all coaches have completed background checks through USA Volleyball.
Venetian Bay Volleyball Club
We are anticipating on fielding 12s, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 teams. Possibly a second 12’s and 16s team as well. Every year, our teams are limited due to the number of quality coaches and gym space. We will take 9-11 players on each team and as much as we hate to have to cut players who want to play, this is the only way we are able to continue to produce the top volleyball players in the area and state. We encourage players to tryout for different clubs in the area to see and feel the difference of our training and cost but also to have a back up plan in case a player is not selected for a VBAY team so that they may continue to play. If any club pressures you to make a commitment on the day of tryouts, they are afraid you will go elsewhere. Keep your options open!
VBAY will once again be a part of the elite Florida Power League. The top 8 volleyball clubs in the Florida Region have come together to form the Power League. The Power League provides the top teams in the state a place in which they can compete at a high level and compete against each other. There will 2 one day Power League tournaments in which each club plays 4 matches. This provides better competition then going to a 2 day tournament. Venetian Bay is one of the 8 programs in the state invited to be in the Power League. The other clubs in Power League include: USA South, Tampa United, Gainesville Juniors, Jacksonville Juniors, Pinellas Heat, Boomers, and Orlando Volleyball Academy.
