All Athletes need to register or an AAU membership

SpikeKey Beach is a registered beach Club through AAU. All athletes must register for an AAU membership to participate in SpikeKey Beach clinics and camps.

Coaches

Megan Wallin is a native of Sarasota, Florida and graduate of Cardinal Mooney high school where she lettered in three sports. She graduated as senior class president and was voted athlete of the year in the state of Florida, 2001. She recently graduated from Michigan State University, where she competed on the varsity volleyball team under a full scholarship. Megan was selected captain and most outstanding player by her teammates in both her junior and senior years. In addition, she was selected as Academic All-Big Ten scholar athlete for four consecutive years. Megan and Kristen form the professional Beach Volleyball Team SpikeKey which compete in Professional Beach Volleyball Tournaments.

Joyce Parker a former volleyball player at Valparaiso University brings years of coaching and playing experience to SpikeKey Beach volleyball. She was part of the coaching staff for St. Stephens high school and is currently an active volleyball director at the YMCA for indoor volleyball. She currently coach's A, AA and professional beach volleyball players in the Sarasota and in Maryland area.

Bob Parker has trained many professional beach volleyball athletes in the Florida region. He was selected to the United States Senior Olympics games.. He has over 30 years of experience and is nationally known for his knowledge of volleyball.

:: VOLLEYBALL CLINICS & PRIVATE LESSONS ::

What would a typical lesson look like?
We will typically start with a dynamic warm-up. Depending on skill level, we will review basic skills. We really want the individual to enjoy their one-on-one experience while learning valuable skills in the game of volleyball.

Why should I send my athlete to you?
We will teach proper technique and provide positive reinforcement for all athletes. Athletes are encouraged to ask questions. We are very experienced in coaching and counseling having staffed many Division I volleyball camps/run our own camps over the years.

Can your training help me get a scholarship to college?
Yes, with a positive attitude and dedication to the game, earning a scholarship is possible. We have been on both sides of the recruiting process, and we know the best ways to market yourself to a given university. We would love to share that knowledge with anyone who is willing to work hard for their dream.

What skill level do you prefer?
We really have no preference of skill or age. We have drills, tips, and games to instill passion for volleyball to all ages. We always offer a safe, passionate, energetic environment in which all athletes can THRIVE!
